Presentation: Crystallization and properties of poly(lactic acid)
Maria Laura Di Lorenzo is Senior Research Scientist at the Institute of Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials of the Italian National Research Council (IPCB-CNR). Before, she worked in prof. Bernhard Wunderlich’s group at University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (USA). Her main research interests focus on thermal analysis, crystallization and melting of semicrystalline polymers, structure and morphology of biobased and biodegradable polymers, and structure-property relationships.
Dr. Di Lorenzo is author of 2 patents and of about 120 articles published on international journals and books. She is co-editor of two volumes of Advances in Polymer Science:
- Synthesis, Structure and Properties of Poly(lactic acid) – Vol. 279
- Industrial Applications of Poly(lactic acid) – Vol. 282.
She is in the Editorial Board of: Polymer Crystallization; Advances in Materials Science and Engineering; International Journal of Polymer Science.
